CLAT 2018: Grievance Redressal Committee Suggests Compensation with Marks

June 08, 2018

We had earlier reported that in pursuance of Supreme Court direction NUALS Kochi had Nodal Agency for redressal of grievances of CLAT 2018 candidates.

It has now been reported that NUALS Kochi has submitted the Report of the Grievance Redressal Committee. The Report states that most of the complaints received by it relets to technical glitches like log in failure and network deficiencies. Other complaints pertain to infrastructural defects hampering the efficacy of the CLAT candidates and resulting in loss of time and disturbance.

In order to redress the genuine grievances, the Committee has suggested the following measures:

  • Method to compensate students with some marks considering the lost time for those who underwent the need to re login more than once.
  • When the list is redrawn after compensation as above, it has to be ensured that the rank of the candidates in the published/existing list is not affected.
  • No relief has been suggested on the ground of errors in framing of questions or in the matter of fixing the answer key.
