New Judges Roster Introduced in the Supreme Court

February 01, 2018

A new Judges Roster System has been introduced in the Supreme Court today under the order of Chief Justice Dipak Misra and the same will be effective from February 5 i.e. Monday.

The New Roster System displays the category of cases that would be taken up by 12 Judges of the Supreme Court including Chief Justice of India.

The introduction of new Roster System is not surprising in view of recent press conference by 4 senior most Judges of the Supreme Court including Justice J. Chelameswar, Justice Ranjan Gogoi, Justice MB Lokur and Justice Kurian Joseph wherein the Judges had raised concern against the administration of the Supreme court and particularly in context of assignment of case to Judges.

The new Roster system can be accessed here.
